Time for a name change?

Image

If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we really aren’t living. –Gail Sheehy

The Parish Resource Center (or PRC) in Rocky Point has been around over a quarter of a century. Until recently we were an affiliate of the original Parish Resource Center which opened in Lancaster, PA in 1976. But the world of churches and the resource centers that serve them is changing rapidly and we find that we are now heading toward becoming an independent organization. This new phase in the life of the Rocky Point PRC necessitates a name change. After many conversations and lots of thought, we are considering the name Practical Church Resources, or PCR for short. Although our name may be changing we still have the same mission, to help equip churches for ministry through professional consultants, webinars/workshops, and resources. Change is hard but it is also good. We feel that our new name actually illustrates better who we are. What do you think?

    1. I just left an Episcopal church this morning and come to find out that they are doing a Lenten presentation with three other local churches. Practical Church Resources is happy to help coordinate for multiple church presentations. Just ask us and we will do our best to help you. It is very practical to belong to our organization for many reasons. Stewardship ideas, fellowship ideas, taking out beautiful banners, Learning power point, reading about leadership issues and conflicts in churches, Lay Pastoral Care ideas to help Pastor with, etc. etc.. Come in for a cup of coffee or call for a tour or call and we will come and visit you. We hope to see all Christian educators at our breakfast roundtable tomorrow from 10 am to 12pm
. Bring a friend. Blessings, Peg
